Jack Verrall Memorial Garden

The Society are working together with the Parish Council to give this leafy public garden in Brenchley some tender loving care.  We are arranging days to weed, prune and plant, if you would like to get involved in this community gardening project, please see details here…

Members’ Garden Trip 2025 – Great Comp

On Thursday 25 September the Society visited Great Comp Garden and enjoyed an exclusive tour of the grounds, where wonderful late summer colour was provided by salivas and dahlias.  See photos here…

Plant Sale 2025

The Society’s Plant Stall and Gardening Book Sale at Matfield Village Fete was a great success.  We would like to thank everyone who kindly donated the beautiful plants and everyone who came along and supported the stall.   The proceeds will be used to fund the Flower Shows next year.  Thank you! 

Quiz Night 2026

Our next Quiz will take place on Wednesday 13 May in Matfield Village Hall.  Book your tickets in advance.  More details to follow soon. 

Members’ Garden Trip 2025 – Tonbridge School

On Thursday 29th May the Society’s Members enjoyed a visit to the Gardens at Tonbridge School, where the Head Gardener gave a guided tour of the grounds followed by tea and cakes.   See pictures here….

Summer Flower Show 2024 – Results and Pictures

Our Summer Flower Show took place on Saturday 13th July on Matfield Green.  We were delighted to welcome gardeners, flower arrangers, cooks and creative juniors to the marquee creating a fabulous display that everyone visiting Matfield Fete could enjoy.  Take a look at the results and view pictures here…

Who needs the Chelsea Flower Show!  On Saturday 13th April, Matfield Village Hall was filled with the sights and scents of beautiful spring blossoms. The camellias were in their prime making a vibrant show and the floral art displays were fabulous.  You can see some photos of the event here…
